Do you know someone in the military? Spread the word about this amazing offer! Thanks to a program called Waves of Honor, active military members can receive complimentary tickets to several amusement parks, like SeaWorld and Busch Gardens, for themselves and up to three direct dependents. This offer also extends to National Guardsmen and activated or drilling reservists!
Not only that, but many of the parks offer additional savings throughout the year and some also have special deals for veterans. To help you navigate the program, we created a handy list of locations for you to reference below!
How to get Waves of Honor tickets.
To score your free tickets for yourself and up to 3 dependents, visit the Waves of Honor website. Here is where you can verify your active military status using GovX ID and claim any military deals offered by the parks. It’s important to note that you and your dependents may be required to show a military ID to enter and this offer is valid only through December 31, 2023.
Unfortunately, inactive, standby, and retired reserve members, military retirees, U.S. Merchant Marine, and civilian Department of Defense workers are ineligible for this offer. However, many of the parks do offer special discounts for veterans!
Select parks also offer a 2023 Military Pass.
In addition to one-time use free tickets, many of the parks are offering a special 2023 Military Pass. These passes are offered at affordable prices and grant you unlimited access to the park plus general parking. Several of the parks allow an active military member to buy a certain amount of these passes for their family members too!
These passes are not available to buy at the gate so you’ll want to purchase them beforehand by visiting the Waves of Honor website and verifying your government status.
What if the active military member is deployed?

What locations offer SeaWorld Military Tickets through the Waves of Honor program?
There are currently 10 different parks participating in this amazing program. They not only offer the free Waves of Honor tickets, but many offer other deals too, like Military Passes for active military members and discounted tickets for veterans!
Each location has specific requirements to use the offers. You and your family may need to show military IDs, so make sure to read the fine print carefully before driving to the park!

SeaWorld Orlando
Waves of Honor One-Time Complimentary Tickets: This offer is for active military, National Guardsmen, and activated or drilling reservists. You can receive free SeaWorld military tickets for yourself and up to 3 direct dependents. This cannot be used during special events like SeaWorld Orlando Howl-O-Scream.
SeaWorld & Aquatica Orlando 2023 Military Pass: This pass costs just $164.99 and grants active military members unlimited visits and general parking to both parks through December 31, 2023. You may purchase up to 6 passes for family members.
Veteran Discount: Veterans who verify their status, can receive a one-time use ticket for themselves and up to 5 guests. All 6 tickets are 50% off.
SeaWorld San Antonio
Waves of Honor One-Time Complimentary Tickets: Active military members, National Guardsmen, and activated or drilling reservists can receive free SeaWorld military tickets for themselves and up to 3 direct dependents. This cannot be used during special ticketed events.
2023 Military Pass: This pass grants active military members unlimited visits to the park, water park, and general parking through January 3, 2024. You can also upgrade to include Aquatica San Antonio. Visit the Waves of Honor website for pricing.
Veteran Discount: Veterans can receive four free tickets to SeaWorld & Aquatica San Antonio. They can also purchase up to 6 additional tickets at 50% off. Unfortunately, the tickets must have been purchased by May 14th, 2023, and used by July 9, 2023. If you missed the offer this year, keep your eye out for a similar deal next year!
SeaWorld San Diego
Waves of Honor One-Time Complimentary Tickets: Active military members, National Guardsmen, and activated or drilling reservists can receive a free SeaWorld military tickets for themselves and up to 3 direct dependents. This cannot be used during special ticketed events like Howl-O-Scream. Dependents over 10 must also show a military ID to enter the park.
2023 Military Pass: This pass grants active military members unlimited visits to the park general parking through January 2, 2024. Visit the Waves of Honor website for pricing.
Veteran Discount: Veterans can receive a free complimentary ticket for themselves and up to three guests. Verify your status and claim the offer on the Waves of Honor website. Use your tickets by July 9, 2023.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Waves of Honor One-Time Complimentary Tickets: Active military members, National Guardsmen, and activated or drilling reservists can receive a free ticket for themselves and up to 3 direct dependents. You and your dependents may need to show a military ID at the gate.
2023 Military Pass: This pass is offered at a low price of $144.99 (regularly priced at $194.99). This pass grants active military members unlimited visits to the park’s general parking through December 31, 2023. Active military members can purchase up to six of these passes!
Veteran Discount: This park offers several veterans discounts. Veterans can receive a free complimentary ticket for themselves and up to three guests. Veterans can also buy up to 6 tickets at half price and can score all-day dining deals (4 for $150). Unfortunately, tickets had to have been purchased by May 14, 2023, used by July 9, 2023. If you missed the deal this year, keep your eye out for a similar offer next year!
Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Waves of Honor One-Time Complimentary Tickets: Active military members, National Guardsmen, and activated or drilling reservists can receive a free ticket for themselves and up to 3 direct dependents. You must visit the park by October 31, 2023. Military members and dependents must also show a military ID.
Active Military 1-Day Discounted Tickets: Active military members, National Guardsmen, and activated or drilling reservists can purchase up to 6 tickets at a discounted price. Purchase tickets online (they aren’t available at the gate) and use them within 6 months.
Busch Gardens & Water Country USA 2023 Military Pass: This pass grants active military members unlimited visits to the park, water park, and general parking through January 1, 2024. This includes special events like Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town. Visit their website to verify your status and get pricing.
Veteran Discount: Veterans can purchase up to six discounted one-day tickets. Must be purchased online and used within 1 year.
Sesame Place Philadelphia
Waves of Honor One-Time Complimentary Tickets: Active military members, National Guardsmen, and activated or drilling reservists can receive a free ticket for themselves and up to 3 direct dependents. These tickets are available online only.
Sesame Place Philadelphia 2023 Military Pass: This pass is offered at a low price of $115. This pass grants active military members unlimited visits to the park and general parking through December 31, 2023. You must verify your status through GovX.
Veteran Discount: Veterans can purchase up to 6 tickets for 50% off. This great deal is valid through December 31, 2023, but it is not available at the gate so make sure to verify your status and purchase online before heading to the park!
Sesame Place San Diego
Waves of Honor One-Time Complimentary Tickets: Active military members, National Guardsmen, and activated or drilling reservists can receive a free ticket for themselves and up to 3 direct dependents. Purchase tickets online as they aren’t available at the gate!
Sesame Place San Diego 2023 Military Pass: For just $84.99, active military members can get unlimited visits to the park and general parking through December 31, 2023. Military members can buy up to 6 passes so their family members can enjoy the park too! To score the deal, verify your status through GovX or purchase at a local I.T.T. office.
Veteran Discount: Veterans can purchase up to 6 tickets for 50% off. This great deal is valid through July 9, 2023 only. There is still time to purchase your tickets so visit the website and verify your status with GovX.
Aquatica Orlando
Waves of Honor One-Time Complimentary Tickets: Active military members, National Guardsmen, and activated or drilling reservists can receive a free ticket for themselves and up to 3 direct dependents. You’ll want to reserve your tickets online as they aren’t available at the gate.
SeaWorld & Aquatica Orlando 2023 Military Pass: For just $164.99 active military members can snag a Military Pass. It grants active military members unlimited visits and general parking to both parks through December 31, 2023. You may purchase up to 6 passes for family members.
Military & Veteran Discount: Active military and veterans who verify their status, can receive a one-time use ticket for themselves at 50% off. Active military can get 50% off tickets for 3 additional guests and veterans for up to 5 guests. Expect to show your ID at the gate.
Aquatica San Antonio
Waves of Honor One-Time Complimentary Tickets: Active military members, National Guardsmen, and activated or drilling reservists can receive a free ticket for themselves and up to 3 direct dependents. Reserve your tickets online. These free tickets are valid for most days but not for special ticketed events.
2023 Military Pass: This affordable pass grants active military members unlimited visits to the park, water park, and general parking through January, 3, 2024. Additional passes may be available for a certain number of family members. Reserve online and make sure to bring your military ID at the gate.
Veteran Discount: Veterans can receive four free tickets to SeaWorld & Aquatica San Antonio. This offer also allows veterans to buy up to 6 additional tickets at 50% off. Discovery Cove
Waves of Honor Discounted Tickets: Active military members, National Guardsmen, and activated or drilling reservists can receive discounted tickets to Discovery Cove and for their Signature Dolphin Swimming Package. The discount extends to up to 3 direct dependents. You will need to verify your status through GovX and show your military ID to enter.
Veteran Discount: Veterans can receive a discounted ticket to Discovery Cove plus 3 additional discounted tickets for guests. You can also receive discounted tickets for the Signature Dolphin Swimming Package. The offer is valid through December 31, 2023. Verify your status online and provide your military ID at the entrance.
